Extra Charge

The fields for extra person charges aren’t used for the total rate. To handle any policy issues related to extra person charges, read below.

Extra person charges

    • ONDA provides fields for extra adult and extra child for extra person charges in its API responses. However, these charges are paid onsite upon check-in instead of online during the booking process due to a limited number of vendors supporting these fields.
  • Customers must search rooms with the total number of guests including children in the included occupancy during the booking process. Extra charges for children aren’t provided separately but shared with the hotel for payment during check-in.
  • For example, if a customer would like to book a room for 2 adults, 1 child, 1 infant, the customer must search for a room for 4 guests. When booking, the reservation request would show the base rate of the room for the included occupancy.
  • The channel must disclose on their site and notify customers that extra persons exceeding the included occupancy are charged and payments may occur upon check-in.
